A Letter to Our Community

Areaware's mission has always been simple: to champion independent designers, giving you access to their uniquely creative visions to live with and among. Every product we've made has been an act of optimism—a belief that good design can make our world a little better.
The tariffs imposed last year have been hard on many small businesses, and ours is no exception. Combined with mounting pressures across the home goods industry, it has become impossible for us to continue in a way that honors the principles Areaware was founded on.
We've had to make the painful decision to close Areaware’s doors on May 1st. This weighs heavily on us, but we know that it’s the right thing to do.
As for Cubebot, we’ve been in conversation with an industry insider who has expressed interest in purchasing the Cubebot brand. We are hopeful that our beloved wooden robots will find a new home where they can live on. We’ll be sure to share further information once confirmed, but in the meantime, we encourage you to take advantage of any remaining Cubebot stock while it is available.
We will continue to fulfill and ship orders until April 27th.
